Yin yoga is a complementary and synergic practice to the most dynamic yoga practices. It brings back the balance and the attention to the self. In Yin yoga the positions are mainly on the ground, the prerogative is the maintenance of the same position for several minutes, to allow our body to come into contact with the fascia, tendons, and joints, to do this, being a deep practice, it needs time. Yin yoga brings enormous benefit in strengthening the joints, while from an energetic point of view, it allows the Qi and Prana to flow through the whole body, eliminating the blocks, bringing a free flow of prana and qi through the meridians (blocks deriving from the emotions connected to them), moreover, being a static and introspective practice, it allows to recontact one’s own self, to bring one’s emotions into balance and to take the necessary time to listen to one’s body, with sweetness and care. This practice allows the individual to take a deep listening to his emotions, let them flow and prepare for a deep meditation.
In this Teacher training, we will deal with the extraordinary meridians, or the meridians responsible for the rebalancing of the Qi (or prana, of our vital energy) within the body. These meridians are concerned with absorbing excess Qi and integrating our defensive energy and ancestral energies when they are deficient.
The extraordinary channels and viscera are linked to our origin, to our birth, to what we inherit from our parents and our karma, from our energetic path, and allow our vital essence, our nutritive energy and the defensive energy to circulate inside our body, eliminating the blocks that are at the origin of diseases, according to Traditional Chinese Medicine.
The Extraordinary Channels and Viscera play a fundamental role of balance of the yin and the yang and of all the energies (defensive and ancestral) of the body.
They are related to organs considered relevant in all Western and Eastern philosophies (Brain, Marrow, Bones, Blood vessels, Biliary Bladder, Uterus) Remember that Biliary Bladder is also an ordinary Viscera and therefore has a double function ).
The program includes:
- Theory of main energies according to traditional Chinese medicine and theory of the main energies in classical yoga and their synergies
- In-depth study of the extraordinary meridians and viscera
- Yoga and traditional Chinese medicine: how to bring the energy balance along the meridians back through the practice of yoga
- Philosophical/practical analogies and synergies in the philosophy of traditional Chinese medicine and traditional yoga
- Study of 4 Yin yoga practices to restore balance along the meridians and viscera and to eliminate energy blockages and strengthen the joints

This practice serves to rebalance the most dynamic practices such as Ashtanga Vinyasa, to ensure that the body can rebalance its energy following practices or lifestyles that are dynamic and always ready for contraction.

YIN YOGA TRAINING SCHEDULE:
- 7.00 – 9.00 am: Yin yoga practice – Hatha yoga practice
- 9.00 – 10.00 am: Breakfast
- 10.00 – 1.00 pm: Alignment, adjustment, lecture, philosophy (connections between TCM/yoga)
- 1.00 – 2.00 pm: Lunch
- 2.00 – 3.30 pm: Self-study/ Self-care
- 3.30 – 4.00 pm: Meditation
- 4.00 – 6.30 pm: Teaching practice/Anatomy (relevant to the morning practice)
- 7.00 – 8.00 pm: Dinner

HATHA YOGA TEACHER TRAINING
Hatha Yoga is the most ancient and traditional form of yoga. The word Hatha directly translates as Sun/Moon. “Ha” meaning ‘Sun’ and “Tha” meaning ‘moon.’ This original style of yoga brings both sun and moon energies together creating the perfect balance. It brings body purification and an awakening of vital energy, which flows in our body through energy channels, throughout our body, called Nadis. To break down the meaning of the word ‘Hatha’ further – ‘Ha’ is also knows as ‘Pingala’ or ‘Surya Nadi’ (Sun) which is the energy that flows in the right side of body and “Tha” is also known as the ‘Ida Nadi’ or ‘Chandra Nadi’ (Moon) which is the energy which flows in the left side of the body. Hatha yoga according to Maharshi Patanjali is a system to calm the modifications of mind or as Patanjali says “Chitta Vritti Nirodhah” meaning ‘to stop the fluctuations of the mind.’
This traditional style of Yoga develops stability in the body which prepares and enables ones to mind focusing on meditating.
